Just won this on E-Bay!

 

Coming to a Cheap Comic Collector episode sometime in December.   I just won this beauty on ebay.  Published in 1929!  Reg'lar Fellers was a comic strip that ran from 1917 to 1949 by Gene Byrnes.  It was adapted into a feature film in 1941 with Billy Lee and Carl Switzer of "Alfalfa" fame as the stars.  Watch it on YouTube.

This Bugs Bunny / Porky Pig ad for Hostess Cup Cakes appeared in 1975 and 1976 issues of Gold Key Comics.

 

A typical unfuuny page from Jughead's Jokes #40, 1974.  But who knew there were Archie restaurants?  Couldn't find any restaurant photos but there is a Wikipedia page for them.  Apparently Archie Comics bought back the license and closed them because they were so bad.
